Computational and Applied Biomechanics (CAB) Lab

Our lab is focused on the use of computational mechanics, machine learning, wearables and experimental methods to investigate and address clinical issues identified by the medical community to improve patient outcomes and performance. Thus far, this has taken the form of developing novel models to enhance computational methods for accurate simulation of the lumbar spine for low back pain prevention, the design of a series of universal talus implants to enhance patient outcomes after total talus replacement surgery, and the design and evaluation of footwear products etc..
